On Tuesday, June 17th, 2008, the Mozilla Foundation wants to set a new Guiness World Record for having the most software downloads in a single day. I know it's a promotional / marketting stunt, but it's a damn good one at that. Having already been playing with Firefox 3 on Ubuntu 8.04, I have to admit the new features such as the intelligent location bar, updated bookmarking, and (by far the best feature in my opinion) the built-in session restore option when closing the browser are reason enough for upgrading to the new version.
If you haven't been using Firefox all this time, you definitely owe yourself to download what many consider to be the best internet browser available today... Further... If you're still stuck using Internet Explorer- I feel sorry for you...
Anyone who downloads a full version from the official website on the download day will be given a certificate with their name on it that you can print and display with pride.
Click the Download Day 2008 logo to pledge support and receive a reminder to download on June 17th, 2008.
